  1. We taught our pullers to pull and aim for the heels of the next lineman to account for any penetration. Their toes on their pull step would be pointed directly for the play side heel.
  2. I guess with everyone being in the gun nowadays running it with the offset FB would be the way to run it
  3. We always ran this with down or power blocking mostly along with the Ct Sweep scheme which we called Truck
  4. I am unable to open this file. Is there another format that you can use?
  5. Are there any programs, methods, etc.., to meet with players remotely, to get them to participate instead of just meeting with them?
  6. When Mike McGlinchey was at Frostburg State, he ran this alot.
  7. We use the Delaware numbering system. 300/700 would tell the FB where to line up behind the 3 man or 7 man. I guess you could use the Wes system and use the letters.
  8. When Delaware committed to running triple option, they actually ran 2 practices, one was coordinated by Ted Kempski, the offensive coordinator and the other was coordinated by Tony Dimeo. It was the only way they thought that it would actually work.
  9. I here several coaches talk about this in the last year. Matt Parzero of Newton High School in NJ and Scott Schulte of Oak Harbor High School in Ohio both talked about this at the National Wing T Clinic in Pittsburgh last week. Brett Meyers of Middletown High School in PA is also speaking at the Wings N Things Clinics In PA this year about it and has spoken at the National clinic too. I'm sure if you contacted them, they would send you play clips through Hudl.
  10. What we are doing is running jet motion to kick out while giving the ball to the FB like Belly.
  11. Power either way - If running to TE, outside release TE, Center and front side Guard block DTs, Tackles block LBs, use jet motion away to block edge, FB kicks out and back side Guard pulls through hole and blocks LB scraping. We also run the power scheme for other plays. Can give the ball to the play side HB or FB as well as counters of jet and rocket and shuffle pass. Belly either way - if running to TE, outside release TE and the Center and front side Guard block back again. Tackle on front side will block DE outside and back side Tackle will cut off LB if he runs through, like with power. Back side Guard will pull like power in order to block scraping LB. Front side HB would block front side LB, either by lining up in the back field, motioning to the back field, or from his wing position by taking a drop step and going underneath. We also run other plays using the belly scheme. Can give the ball to the back side HB and have the FB block the front side LB. We can do this also giving the ball to the HB in Jet motion. Belly Pass - If OLBs are almost on the line, throw to the HB in the flat - use jet motion vs. man or belly pass switch vs zone and throw to SE in the flat. I can give you some other ideas from play action if I knew what the coverage is. Let me know. Might be able to just dump the ball to the HB too.
  12. We have always done it the way Coach Moore did. We never saw the difference no matter what the front was. We said no matter what if the FB or HB are getting the ball up the middle they have the midline. Works the same for tackle trap too
  13. Yes but we might also outside release the play side Tackle to help make the hole larger by influencing the DE to the outside.
  14. We use Ct criss cross blocking and the QB reverse pivots and hands it off to the wing using an inside hand off. FB fills like he does on CT XX and RB in jet motion blocks the edge to prevent any chasers.
  15. We have our center follow his assignment on Down, which is reach. The FB is assigned to the back side after his fake and must avoid the back side guard who is pulling and kicks out the force man. As with Down Option, we would have a feel for the OLB stepping down to defend the Down play before running it so we should not come up the field but if he does, we would do what we would do is he did the same with Down Option, which is to kick him out. Not a good play but we would have enough confidence that he would close on the inside release of the TE or we would just continue to run the Down play.
  16. We have only done it to the TE Wing side in our empty sets
  17. Would try to find out which way they are slanting or just take him which way he wants to go (would be up to the center what shoulder he wants to use) but would be no different than the technique that a tackle uses on the Belly play
  18. Get helmet to the side that the nose is slanting to and take him that way
  19. The QB opens to the back faking jet sweep or rocket but stays on the right side of the mid line. His second step is a cross over, staying on the right side of the mid line and hands off to the FB, who runs trap right. The QB then carries out waggle right
