CoachSpencer82
I love the count system, I used a count system to teach inside/outside zone when I was a zone guy. How do y'all define #1 in the outside count system? First guy touching the EMLOS, like 7 tech to TE side, or first guy head up to outside the EMLOS? Coach..................here you go (see attached) Offensive end man on the line............I call him the MOLE a.) MOLE can only be TE or OT......................cannot be detached - must be touching rest of your line b.) Count starts on LOS defender touching your MOLE. example (TE) 7 tech out; (OT) 4i tech out KEY COACHING POINT - HAVE YOUR MOLE (you will have 2; one each side) POINT AT #1 EVERY TIME TO LOS. This will aid WB in determing # 2 oce Outside count.pdf

Karjaw
Coaches Ok. The moment I think formations I think: 1. Is it going to confuse my kids? 2. The defense knows what is going to come and it usually means we had better make sure everyone knows who to block. 3. How about the nub? 4. Great legendary coach here once said lining up in a unique formation once in a while is a bad idea. It is much harder to know what someone is doing when they line up the same. Therefore: A. Use something they have not seen yet B. Have another one in your pocket after halftime C. Design a play action out of it as well as a reverse. Have fun Coach Wright
