  1. Whats going on guys? I am not new to the hybrid system. It was great for us and we were 100% in. We used Coach Elrod's system and loved it. For the last few years we've been dabbling in the Shotgun Wing T RPO stuff from Scott Meadows and it's been good but I think it's time to go back to our roots. We are going to be a double wing hybrid team. Going to try to be a 50/50 gun/under center team. Plan on running the obvious: Jet - Rocket - Belly Sweep - Belly - Trap - Counter - Sally - in the run game Passing Game: Waggle- Rollout or half roll stuff off jet and rocket - screens, y cross, and maybe mesh Im wanting to develop an efficient way to install this. If it's too much, i'd like advice on that too. Any tips, ideas, or plans are much appreciated. Thanks!
  2. Crash, you got hudl? Care to share some clips with me?
  3. After a few seasons running a shotgun wingt/ rpo system, I am going back to my roots of the hybrid double wing system. We never ran Belly Sweep when I ran this offense in the past. What are your thoughts, suggestions, or tips on the play.
  4. The Bear and Bull sets worked great for us. Belly, belly sweep out of those where that bear/bull back does the kicking on belly. Real good stuff
  5. Next season will be my 19th year as the head coach. We were very successful with the double wing attack under center. We transitioned to the Gun and ran more of the Tim Murphy style shotgun wing T due to having a STUD RB but I only had 1 and we had a lot of success. From there we transitioned into the Smoke and Mirrors Shotgun system that Scott Meadows at Pigeon Forge HS in TN uses. Needless to say we've struggled and I learned my lesson. We are going back to the multiple formation double wing under center stuff. However, we have a good QB and a really good TE. The Q is more comfortable throwing out of the gun. He says he struggles seeing things from under center????? We are going to keep a few Gun things but really need to be able to effectively throw from under center. Any tips or ideas would be appreciated.
  6. Derz, what did you tell the QB as far as his progression on spacing. I like it!
  7. We are going to have a really good Senior TE next season. Our Q is returning and is a pretty good player as well. The TE is athletic enough to flex and has great hands. I am looking for any advice on getting him the ball efficiently and effectively. We had a lot of success this past season with our version of Belly Pass out of Red/Blue - TE runs a 6 -8 yard out and we "BOB" the Wing in C and run a seam and rocket back is flare safety valve. For some reason we struggle getting him the ball on shallow crosses, drags, etc. Any tips, ideas, plays, or coaching points would be great.
  8. Coach E, What are your thoughts about reading the 1 tech w/ 38 special? Have the center go to BS backer, BST turns out on #1 and A wing turns out on #2. QB reads 1 Tech? I have a QB that is a good runner and can throw it. We are going primarily under center next year but I'm looking at doing a few things out of the gun because he's more comfortable passing out of the gun. We are definitely putting in this special package and looking at the River Lake bunch sets out of the gun for the bunch pass attack.
  9. Awesome! Do you like a 3 man surface vs a 2 man surface vs certain fronts with this nasty look? I just answered my own questions once I took another look at the diagrams. Good stuff. This used to be a great play for us!!!
  10. Does anyone have the rules for the Nasty player in the Q Special out of the gun?
  11. Hey Wes! This is Coach Lampkins from Gleason, TN. I met you at the Atlanta Glaziers and Bryan Guthrie set us up that day at Siegel High school several years ago. Never the less, we are back at the hybrid attack after a miserable attempt to go strictly Gun Wing T. Do you have any copies of the revised books. Mine are the originals. Thanks and God Bless! Coach Lampkins
  12. Coach E, Give me a refresher on the Jet Lag series. Thanks, Coach Lampkins
  13. I'd like some info on #3. Do you chip him with the tackle and let the center overtake?
