  1. We run both with the same blocking. The exception being the PT. Buck is another story. It takes a ton of time and we're not running it this year but that is because of our linemen.
  2. I don't think a lack of TE would be much of a problem. 75 % or more of the jets I see go to the open side. If you ran 2 slots instead of a TE, you could run it to both sides.
  3. coachcobleigh, We have your bunch tapes. WHich of the routes ( out, fade, choice ) do you like best against COver 2? COver 3?
  4. Coach, what formation and motion do you run this out of?
  5. flyguy, when you influence the 4 - 4 DT, who blocks the backside inside lber?
  6. The video clips are outstanding as usual, but to all who post them PLEASE add a little footage of the team getting lined up so we can see formation, defense etc. When a clip starts on the snap, it's like bad game video from your cameraman. Great thanks to all who post them.
  7. Greg Perry and others I have seen coaches the play side to just drop their outside foot and not move the inside foot. We did this last season and it worked very well. Sally was our best play.
  8. We never stretch and we haven't had a pulled hamstring in 10 years. Stretching a cold muscle is absolutely not something you should do. We start wit a run around the goalpost ( 100 yds and back ) and then go 30 yards up and back in lines for Power skips, 'A' skips, High Knees and carioca. That takes 5 min. Then we break up and do 5 more min. of dynamic drills that fit each position's needs. e quit stretching about 20 years ago when I noticed that 90 % of the time was spent with guys laying on the ground doing very little.
  9. Coach Kuhne, did you pull the uncovered lineman?
  10. One additional point after hearing a lot of good wing coaches speak. They all had the slot Hb to cheat down if he was blocking, so we ended up telling our slot HB that his alignment was 3 yards from the Tackle IF he was carrying the ball or faking. If we was running a pass pattern, he cheated out a yard. If he had to block inside, he cheated inside.
  11. We try to have all formatrions with one name. Anything with an 'O' in it has the SE on the other side. Anything with an R is TE right. Anything with an L is TE left. RIGHT ( WING RT. ) LEFT (WING LT. ) RED BLUE ROY ( Red with SE over ) LEO ( Blue with SE over ) ROGER ( Right with SE over ) LOUIE ( Left with SE over )
  12. David, who carries the ball onthe wham play?
  13. I also agree with Coach I. As a pretty succesful def. coordinator, the first choice was always to take away what people did best and make them beat you with something else. Against most wing teams we'd play 8 man fronts with fast run support from the secondary so that it was almost a 9 man front. We also saw that this year which was my first running the wing. If they're going to play the safeties at 8 yards and fill the alleys like madmen, I found you better be able to pass. 50/50 wouldn't cut it. We overplayed the run so much the 50 % runs would avg. 1 yard gains. 75/25 pass or 80/20 would be more correct in those cases.
  14. Another question for Coach Cobleigh or anyone who runs the same Crossing package. How do you account for blitzing outside lbers?
  15. Coach CObleigh, if you don't mind I have a few more questions since you obviously throw the ball well and we're trying to get there. In your waggle, does the QB read the Safety? If so what does the Safety's movement tell him? Thanks.
